Holy Trinity in San Francisco, founded in 1903, is the oldest Greek Orthodox Church west of Chicago and the eighth oldest in the United States. Community members have organized an historical committee. The committee's first meeting was held on Sunday, July 9, 2005.

The committee is chaired by Jim Lucas and is comprised of prominent members of the Holy Trinity community. Additionally, the Ascension Historical Committee of the Ascension Cathedral, Oakland, California, have offered their assistance in this important undertaking.

Holy Trinity has an extensive archive spanning over one hundred years, documenting the history of the parish and Greeks in San Francisco.
